Accor announces plans for Mercure hotel in Bhubaneswar

Accor is continuing its expansion across India with the development of this new Mercure hotel in the city of Bhubaneswar known as a business hub and for its rich cultural heritage.

Through this development, Accor and Specbru Hotels Private Limited are helping to grow and advance the hospitality sector in Bhubaneswar city.

Developed by Specbru Hotels Private Limited, part of the Spectrum Group, Mercure Bhubaneswar will bring a new midscale hospitality site, catering to both leisure and business travellers, to the city.

Aniruddh Kumar, Accor’s – vice president of development, India and South Asia, said: “We are very excited to expand our presence in India with the addition of our first Mercure in Bhubaneswar city. This expansion emphasises our dedication to delivering exceptional hospitality and introducing unique experiences to our guests, while upholding the esteemed legacy of our existing properties.”

Business and leisure

On opening in 2025, Mercure Bhubaneswar will host guests in 98 guestrooms and suites. The hotel will also house facilities including two food and beverage options, a swimming pool, fitness centre and 300-sq-m banquet space.
