Accor and Arora sign new Fairmont deal
The royal city of Windsor is set to be home to the UK’s newest Fairmont hotel, following a deal signed by French hotel group Accor and owner/operator company Arora. The Fairmont Windsor Park will be the third Fairmont hotel in the UK, joining The Savoy in London which is managed by Fairmont, and the Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland.
Thomas Dubaere, COO, Accor Northern Europe, spoke of the deal, saying, “The signing of Fairmont Windsor Park with Arora Hotels reflects our expertise in the luxury segment and is an extremely exciting addition to our luxury portfolio in the UK. The signing also underlines our ambitious regional expansion plans demonstrating the UK’s continued role as a key global market.”
A luxury offering fit for a king
The new Fairmont Windsor Park will be in the former Savill Court Hotel and Spa, which will be completely redeveloped to bring the property in line with Fairmont’s exacting standards of luxury.
Located adjacent to Windsor Great Park and Savill Gardens, the renovated hotel is set to open in the latter half of 2020 and will boast over 200 decadent guest rooms and suites, including an opulent Royal Suite, all tastefully designed in a regal manner befitting of the hotel’s setting.
Sinead Hughes, director of Arora’s construction division, says, “Our development and construction team feel very privileged to be bringing to life what will be a high-quality luxury hotel in a country estate setting.”
“To oversee such an ambitious project has been particularly rewarding and together with the Fairmont brand, we cannot wait to present the finished building, which with its striking design, opulent finishes and traditional exterior Jacobean architecture synonymous with the locale, will leave a lasting legacy,” Ms Hughes elaborated.
Features and amenities at the Fairmont Windsor Park
The hotel will provide luxury accommodation for those visiting the city of Windsor, be it for business or pleasure.
The Royal Suite has its own private access to an exclusive section of the 2,500m2 spa and wellness centre, which features numerous treatments and bathing areas, including an indoor lap pool and an outdoor vitality pool, treatment rooms, a salt room, a Hammam and a Japanese foot spa.
In quintessentially British style, the hotel will also have a tearoom, as well as a champagne bar and a gourmet restaurant.
Business travellers will find everything they need in one of the 16 meeting rooms in a separate wing of the hotel, which also boasts an 800m2-ballroom, perfect for conferences and corporate events.
Landscaped gardens can accommodate an array of outdoor functions and there are many terraces ideal for intimate gatherings.
