A new luxury IHG resort comes to India

IHG Hotels & Resorts expands portfolio in India with the signing of Crowne Plaza Resort Jim Corbett

IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has recently signed a management agreement with Girija Land Ventures Pvt Ltd to create Crowne Plaza Resort Jim Corbett. Slated to open in 2027, the signing marks the debut of the Crowne Plaza brand in Jim Corbett.

Located in Ramnagar, which sits at the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park, the luxury resort will offer 181 rooms designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. With over 300,000 annual visitors, Jim Corbett National Park is one of India’s most well-known wildlife sanctuaries, and much of the resort design is centered around the cultural significance of this gorgeous park.

Crowne Plaza Jim Corbett will offer four dining options, including an all-day restaurant, a bar, a specialty restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also feature the following amenities and services:

  • Banquet halls and versatile meeting venues
  • A club lounge
  • A swimming pool and spa
  • A full-service fitness center
  • Dedicated retail spaces

IHG strengthens India portfolio

IHG currently has 47 hotels operating across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express—with a strong pipeline of 60 additional hotels expected to open over the next 3–5 years.
