Following its 2025 demerger, ITC Hotels is now building expansion momentum

India’s ITC Hotels has signed the latest addition to its ambitious pipeline, a 227 room hotel in Maharashtra, outside Mumbai.

The luxury resort will operate as Mementos by ITC Hotels Karjat, under a management agreement. A refined retreat, it is expected to be increasingly booked for major celebrations, weddings and corporate events as the property features more than 60,000 sq feet of indoor event space, including a grand ballroom. There are also extensive lawns, allowing for al fresco events when the sun shines.

Expanding the Brand Portfolio

The Mementos brand is being judiciously rolled out, featuring extraordinary properties in great locations. The collection combines both modern properties, and heritage treasures, but whatever the destination, all are united by their common commitment to create great memories for guests.

In addition to Mementos, ITC is also expanding its other brands, with a strong pipeline across its Fortune, Storii and Welcomhotel flags. In 2025, ITC also launched its Epiq Collection, allowing established properties to join ITC while the group expands using an asset-right strategy. Epiq launched with hotels in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, and a further hotel, Epiq Collection Jaipur, is in the pipeline.

The Storii brand has just launched in Jawai, with a property that features just 15 rooms, and is a wilderness getaway. It overlooks Rotela Lake, while being a short distance from Udaipur and Jodhpur. Before the year end, further Storii branded hotels will open in Wayanad, and Rishikesh.

Welcomhotel is another brand looking to grow, with the Top Hotel Projects database listing no less than nine upcoming developments. First of these to launch, in late 2026, will be Welcomhotel Gangtok, a 60 room refurbishment of a property in the northeast of the country.

Into 2027, and Welcomhotel Madikeri will open during the first half of the year. This new build will feature 150 rooms. Further ahead into 2028, and Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Rajgir will be ready to open. With 107 rooms, this hotel will be set in expansive grounds, with landscaped lawns making it a great wedding and events venue.

ITC Adds First Nature Resort

Fortune is a longstanding ITC brand, which has subsequently spawned sub-brands such as Fortune Select, Fortune Park, Fortune Inn and Fortune Resort. It continues to expand its reach across India. In spring 2027, the group will open Fortune Park Mantralayam a new build, 79 room hotel in Andhra Pradesh.

Also in the brand’s pipeline is Fortune Jungle Resort Tadoba, the brand’s first nature resort. Being built near the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, this 150 room property will cater for those seeking a luxury stay, with the opportunity to take trips into the wilderness. For the Fortune Select sub brand, there are live projects to deliver hotels in Guwahati, Assam and in Nashik.
