Hilton Hotels has signed to brand its third Signia hotel in Florida. The Naples Grande Beach Resort will relaunch in January under the brand, which features a collection of major resort properties with conference and event facilities.
The brand reveal comes with work already well under way. The property closed in April 2026 to allow time for a major refurbishment of the property, from top to bottom. Its 474 rooms and villas, plus all common areas are enjoying a makeover, while the property will be having an upgrade to its restaurants, bars and wellness facilities.
Major Convention Hotels Join the Brand
The Signia brand was launched by Hilton in 2019, with the idea of representing major hotels with major events and meeting spaces within the hotel iteslf, or close by. The brand is adding both urban properties and leisure resort destinations, offering affordable luxury. With conventions and meetings in mind, often the hotels are of a grand scale, with hundreds of rooms.
By autumn 2026, the brand had expanded across the US, with hotels in Texas and Georgia, as well as Florida. Internationally, the first Signia opened in Amman, Jordan. Such large properties are rarely built new, and so Hilton is leaning into conversions to grow the brand.
The resort last changed hands in 2022, when investment company Henderson Park paid USD248 million to acquire the asset, including an adjacent 18 hole championship golf course, and a tennis centre. It had been owned prior to this by Northwood Hospitality, which held the hotel since 2013, and for some of that time, the property traded under Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria luxury brand.
In the US, the Signia pipeline is building. The company will open Signia Hilton Indianapolis as part of that city’s convention centre expansion, with 814 rooms. In Georgia, Signia by Hilton Savannah is under way, with a planned opening in autumn 2028.
A further Florida hotel is coming to support the brand. Hilton Signia Hotel West Palm Beach will open in late 2027, occupying an oceanfront site, with accommodation in a 23 storey tower. In Tennessee, Signia Hilton Nashville Yards is also in planning, another hotel designed to support the city’s major convention centre.
International Expansion Beckons
Internationally, Hilton is preparing to launch Signia by Hilton Tainan. The 344 room hotel is a refurbishment of the existing property, and will have equal appeal to leisure and business travellers. It will be joined in due course by another Asian property, Signia by Hilton Chengdu, as Hilton looks for more opportunities in the vast Chinese market.
Signia îs also coming to the Middle East, with plans for Signia by Hilton Cairo Skywalk. This 200 room hotel will sit alongside the brand’s first branded residences, with one and two bedroom apartments planned alongside the hotel and sharing its luxury guest facilities. Also coming is the first Signia in India. Signia by Hilton Jaipur will open in 2028, launching the brand into another significant and upcoming market.
