Rosewood’s upcoming Shenzen hotel is the latest choice for THP’s Project of the Week. Expected to open in 2026, the property is located in one of China’s fastest-growing economic centres and will bolster Rosewood’s footprint on the mainland.

Classic Rosewood luxury

Rosewood Shenzen will form part of a mixed-use development, containing office space, retail, hotel and serviced apartments.

The property will feature 300 rooms and 50 Rosewood Residences units, alongside four restaurants and bars and extensive meeting and event facilities.

Rosewood Shenzen will be rounded out by its leisure offerings; a spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.

“The opening of Rosewood Shenzhen will not only be a key moment in our strategic growth in China and across Asia-Pacific, it will represent a highly differentiated ultra-luxury experience for Shenzhen’s residents and visitors,” said Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group.

Shenzhen booms

Rosewood Shenzhen will be conveniently situated on bustling Shannan Boulevard, at the intersection of Nanshan, Futian and Baoan Districts. Its central location will provide easy access to key commercial areas, a large-scale sports and entertainment venue and Shenzen’s growing number of contemporary cultural institutions.

With easy access to Qianhai area, Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, and Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre, the hotel will become an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers.

Shenzhen has been named a UNESCO Creative City of Design, and is establishing itself as a leading creative space, with the city attracting high-profile design events and new creative offerings like OCT Loft, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
