IHG Hotels & Resorts is continuing its growth in Germany with the signing of Holiday Inn Ratingen, in the wider Düsseldorf area, in partnership with multi-hotel operator tristar GmbH.

Convenient location

After a full renovation, expected to open in the second half of 2025, the hotel will further expand IHG’s presence in secondary markets across Germany. The hotel represents a conversion from a previously existing hotel showcasing the conversion-ability of Holiday Inn and its adaptability to changing market environments.

Amenities at the Holiday Inn Ratingen include a full-service restaurant, a bar, and five meeting rooms, all of which are suitable for social gatherings and corporate meetings.

The 134-key property will be located in the town of Ratingen, close to numerous attractions and corporate settlements.

Guests will also be a short drive away from Düsseldorf, Germany’s fashion capital, where they can explore the renowned Königsallee shopping boulevard, as well as Düsseldorf Altstadt (Old Town), and Kunstpalast art museum.

A robust pipeline

As of Q3 2024, IHG Hotels & Resorts has 220* open and pipeline hotels in Germany, with more than 140* of these properties under the Holiday Inn Brand Family. In recent months, Germany has also welcomed the Garner hotels, IHG’s new brand in the midscale conversion space, and will see the arrival of Candlewood Suites later this year.
