Atwell Suites expands US presence

Atwell Suites will be expanding its US presence with three new projects across the country, building upon its recent spate of openings in the States.

Further expansion for a growing IHG brand

The move will further expand IHG Hotels & Resorts’ all-suites, upper-midscale hotel brand. They’ll form part of a growing pipeline that will see Atwell Suites open more than 50 properties across the US in coming years, in destinations including Las Vegas, Colorado Springs and Cheyenne.

Atwell Suites hotels are created to deliver a new kind of all-suite accommodations, in a rapidly growing segment. The brand’s signature features support longer stays and allow guests to easily switch between business and leisure.

Modern suites include a functional workspace and a lounge area with thoughtful touches, like a gallery wall above the sofa—perfect for virtual meetings.

Public spaces incorporate huddle areas, a TV lounge with board games and puzzles, coworking zones, and a versatile meeting room known as ‘The Study’ that can accommodate up to eight people, all designed to promote productivity, collaboration, and comfort.

Amenities in all Atwell Suites hotels include a fitness studio, complimentary breakfast with quality hot and cold items, a 24/7 beverage station with premium coffee, still and sparkling water, and a variety of teas. There is also a bar with small plates and after-hours drinks, while the round-the-clock marketplace offers snacks and travel essentials.

2024 pipeline

The three upcoming Atwell Suites this year are in Kansas City, Las Vegas and Fort Worth.

Atwell Suites Kansas City Airport has already opened and is just minutes from the state’s international airport. The 104-room hotel is owned by Hotel KCI LLC.

In November, Atwell Suites will have two openings.

The first is Atwell Suites Henderson at the Pass, which will operate under the ownership of DeSimone Companies. The 90-room hotel is adjacent to both The Pass Casino and America First Center. Its proximity to major convention centres and attractions in Las Vegas makes it an ideal choice for travellers looking for a quieter retreat from the Strip.

Following will be the Atwell Suites Fort Worth Alliance Area, owned by Sequoia Hospitality. This 96-room hotel is just a short drive from Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport and the city’s central business district. Visitors can explore the Fort Worth Stockyards, and cultural attractions like the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum, or enjoy live music in the Historic Fort Worth Theater District.

Karen Gilbride, VP, Atwell Suites, avid hotels and Garner hotels at IHG Hotels & Resorts said: “At IHG, we’ve been deeply committed to filling a growing need in the all-suites category and expanding our upper-midscale segment, as it’s one we know well and continue to see strong interest in from both owners and guests.

“Atwell Suites’ growth momentum is a testament to that focus. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to introduce more travellers to the Atwell Suites brand, and to showcase our inspiring design and unique position in the market.”
