The major hotel chain will be expanding across its Regent Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Six Senses brands. This is set to include a range of different hotel types, from urban hotels to island resorts.
Six Senses
For the Six Senses brand, the much-anticipated London outpost at the famed Whiteley building will be opening in the first half of 2025. This 109-key hotel will be Six Senses’ entry into the UK, and will also feature 14 residences. A private members club has also been planned for the space.
Regent Hotels & Resorts
Regent Hotels & Resorts, IHG’s top end offering in the luxury hotel segment, has two openings planned for 2025. The first, Regent Bali Canggu, will be opening in the first half of the year. The resort will have 150 rooms and suites, alongside two signature chef-led restaurants and a Regent Spa.
In the second half of the year, Regent Jeddah Corniche will be opening in Saudi Arabia. The 29-storey hotel will have 182 rooms and five penthouses. Amenities include a spa and health club.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has a spate of openings planned for 2025, with highlights including the 155-key Kimpton Main Frankfurt, the 178-key Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, the 149-key Kimpton Algarve and the 471-key Kimpton Kuala Lumpur. All hotels will feature bars, restaurants and extensive facilities.
Vignette Collection
Vignette Collection, which is IHG’s soft brand offering, will see three openings in 2025. This includes Shanghai Snow World, a 272-room hotel with direct access to indoor ski slopes. Dinso Resort & Villas will be opening in Koh Chang, Thailand shortly after. RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka will round out the Vignette Collection offering, with a complete refurbishment of the iconic Japanese hotel planned and due for relaunch in the first half of the year.
InterContinental
For InterContintental, one of IHG’s flagship brands, there are six new properties planned for 2025. InterContiental Halong Bay, a 174-key resort and residences in Vietnam will be the first to open, followed by the 210-key InterContinental The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. Also on the list for 2025 will be the 149-key skiside resort InterContinental Sapporo opening in the second quarter of the year, the 351-key InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town and the InterContinental Presidente Monterrey in Mexico. InterContinental Rabat is scheduled to be IHG’s final opening.
