IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Arabella Beach Hotel, Vignette Collection as the first hotel in Kuwait for this luxury and lifestyle brand.

Reflecting the collection it’s a part of, the May-opened property gives a glimpse into the rich heritage of Kuwait through locally inspired design.

Brand growth

The 195-key Arabella Beach Hotel, Vignette Collection, owned by Aqarat and managed by United Hospitality Management, now welcomes travellers to the Arabian Gulf shoreline with a guest experience that captures the allure of the region.

This is the second hotel to become a part of the Vignette Collection in the GCC region, as it joins Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection. From the hotel, the governorate houses of Seif Palace, government offices, and headquarters of many Kuwaiti corporations are within easy reach.

Commenting on the opening, Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are thrilled to announce the second Vignette Collection hotel opening in the Middle East, in Kuwait, as we continue to expand our luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the region.”

“The partnership with Aqarat marks an important milestone for IHG Hotels & Resorts, singling a shift in the local hospitality market as we cater to the growing number of guests seeking curated hotel experiences driven by luxury and personalised services.”

“As a group, IHG Hotels & Resorts remains dedicated to the delivery of unique, immersive, and authentic stay experiences that anticipate guest needs at every touchpoint of their personal journeys.”

Talal Jassim Al-Bahar, Vice Chairman and CEO of Aqarat, commented: “We are pleased to announce the launch of the upscale Vignette Collection brand in Kuwait, following our first collaboration with IHG at the Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, and we look forward to building on this relationship and cooperating with IHG on future projects.”

Celebrating the locale

References to the local heritage and culture are woven into the interiors of Arabella Beach Hotel Kuwait, Vignette Collection. A modern take on traditional Kuwaiti Sadu weaving brings in textures that also reference the nearby marine environment.

In total, the hotel has 195 guest rooms and suites, which are designed for both togetherness and tranquility. The hotel’s suites come with panoramic terraces while highlights of the overall property include 15 dining destinations, a rooftop pool, wellness centre and private beachfront.

Community empowering and environmentally conscious experiences, known as Memorable Rituals, are then brought to the hotel guests, with additional non-profit partnerships ensuring a positive contribution to the local ecosystem.
