IHCL’s Vivanta to make Kochi debut

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has signed for a new Vivanta hotel in the country’s southwestern state of Kerala with Hotel Pearl Dunes Pvt Ltd.

The 95-key Vivanta Aluva will be strategically located in Aluva, a comfortable driving distance from Kochi airport as well as leisure spots. 

Gateway location

Nearby Kochi is the financial, commercial and cultural capital of the state of Kerala. It ranks first in the total number of international and domestic tourist arrivals in Kerala and is the gateway to other popular leisure destinations.

Set to open in 2026, the hotel will feature an all-day diner and bar, 4,500 sq ft of banquet space, swimming pool, a gym and a spa.

Destination debut

Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president – real estate and development, IHCL, commented: “IHCL’s brand Vivanta debuts in Kochi with this signing.

“This will be our seventh hotel in the city – a testament to the city’s importance. We are delighted to further strengthen our association with KM Abdul Latheef with a second hotel.”

Stylish flavour

“This hotel will offer guests a flavour of the stylish Vivanta brand in Kochi.”

Kerala pipeline

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 18 properties across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands throughout Kerala, encompassing five under development.

Pipeline properties in the state include SeleQtions Munnar, delivering 55 keys in Q1 2024 and the 112-room Taj Cochin International Airport, arriving in Q3 2024.
