Paal J Kahrs Arkitekter is behind the architectural design of this waterfront lifestyle hotel, with Mette Fredskild Design then responsible for its interiors designed for both travellers and locals.

Vibrant seafront space

Marriott International’s experiential brand for the young and young-at-heart, Moxy Hotels, made its entrance to the world heritage city, also known for being a gateway to Norway’s fjords, Bergen, with the opening of this design-led property last year.

The hotel stands out for its vibrant, playful design and prime location providing sea views. Hues of charcoal grey, white and warm brown are complemented by bright colours accents in modern space with contemporary artworks.

This property places guests in the Solheimsviken area of Bergen. Owing to its location amid a cluster of finance and technology companies and proximity to Bergen’s other sites, this hotel is the ideal base for both leisure and business travellers.

A sustainable hotel offering

Moxy Bergen comprises 199 guest rooms, which all come with premium bedding, a 55” TV with Chromecast, designer amenities and fast Wi-Fi.

This accommodation is joined by amenities and services including Bar Moxy with dining options, a breakfast buffet, a Grab & Go station, the Moxy Gym fitness centre and meeting space.

This property was built with sustainability in mind and is now dual-certified as BREEAM Excellent and Green Key, making it an appealing choice for eco-conscious travellers.
