Regent Hotels & Resorts has entered Southeast Asia for the first time with the opening of a resort on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc island.

Regent Phu Quoc combines a privileged location alongside a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve with a luxury resort experience distinguished by the brand’s celebrated hallmarks.

The signature Regent experience

Now welcoming its first guests, the all-suites-and-villas resort Regent Phu Quoc provides a serene sanctuary that’s set apart by its exceptional design, state-of-the-art technology and culinary experiences.

Signature services here include The Regent Experience Agent elevating guest relations and With Compliments offering complimentary services such as the Refreshment Gallery, breakfast buffet at Rice Market, pressing, laundry and unpacking. Personal Havens, such as private cabanas, feature throughout the property.

“We are delighted to introduce Regent’s renowned hospitality to Vietnam and look forward to welcoming guests to experience the inimitable island jewel that is Phu Quoc,” said Juan Losada, general manager.

“Regent Phu Quoc will set the benchmark for resort luxury in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and deliver a truly captivating interpretation of the Regent experience, marrying the calming, the imaginative with a touch of decadence.”

A new lifestyle destination

The resort was designed by BLINK Design Group to echo traditional Vietnamese vernacular and pair that design influence with contemporary interiors featuring a palette of soothing colours. Expansive windows and verandas let natural light flood in while also making the most of the surrounding views.

Art installations featured throughout the property include the “Charming Deeps” bespoke bohemian hand-blown crystal artwork by Lasvit, which draws people’s attention in the lobby.

As many as six restaurants and bars are to define the culinary experience here, from Rice Market offering reinvented Vietnamese and Chinese dishes from live kitchens to the luxury beach club, Ocean Club, serving Mediterranean cuisine and rum cocktails, and the sky pool terrace and bar, Fu Bar, serving gin cocktails with ocean views.

The Spa at Regent Phu Quoc champions holistic wellness and mindful well-being, with immersive facilities including acoustic, vibrational and hot sand therapy and the expertise of a Holistic Wellness Coach.

Completing the resort experience, The Regent Club will afford additional privileges along with access to an intimate venue with its own private rooftop infinity pool.

Two new venues are set to open at the resort in the coming months. Oku will become the only restaurant with an Omakase counter on the island. The speakeasy Bar Jade will offer artisanal spirits in cocktails using local herbs. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore on the resort’s own catamaran, Serenity.
