The TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database reveals a surge of Wyndham hotel openings over the coming years, with the APAC region seeing the most arrivals.

Expanding its global footprint, Wyndham has a total of 69 hotel projects, altogether amounting to 19,700 new rooms, currently planned for development across the world.

Global growth

Of the 69 hotel projects currently planned by Wyndham, a significant 41 hotels, with a total of 13,386 rooms, are being developed in the APAC region.

The group has 15 hotel projects, with 3,033 rooms between them, at different stages of development in North America, five hotels with 671 rooms in Europe, three hotels with 578 rooms in Africa and five hotels with 2,032 rooms in LATAM.

China is set to welcome the most hotels, with 23 hotel projects and 5,477 rooms set to open. The USA is the second most dominant country for Wyndham hotel projects with 10 properties and 1,833 rooms set to debut and Vietnam is expecting four hotel openings with 5,580 rooms between them.

An impressive 25 hotels are set to open this year, followed by 21 hotels in 2023, six hotels in 2024 and another 17 hotels in 2025 and beyond.

New lifestyle destinations

Prominent openings for the group include Wyndham Resort Beau Rivage Nha Trang in Vietnam, Dolce Versailles Domaine du Montcel in France and Wyndham Garden Quezon City in the Philippines.

Opening late 2022, the 1,709-key Wyndham Resort Beau Rivage Nha Trang will be a part of a beachfront mixed-use development in the downtown Loc Tho Ward. Two 50-storey towers will house guest rooms and condominiums, with a mixed-use complex connecting the towers home to amenities including a VIP club and spa.

Over in Versailles, France, Dolce Versailles Domaine du Montcel is expected to begin welcoming guests in late 2022 to a space comprising 178 guest rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar, 15 meeting rooms, a spa and park spanning more than 14 hectares.

Opening in the third quarter of this year is then the new-build Wyndham Garden Quezon City at the heart of Quezon City. The 25-storey hotel will be home to 235 guest rooms and public space with bright and welcoming design.

Facilities within this property will include a spa, fitness centre and outdoor infinity pool, along with a pool bar, all-day dining restaurant serving global cuisine, a grab-and-go outlet for snacks and jazz bar for cocktails. Event space including a ballroom will complete the hotel offering.
