Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Denver Cherry Creek is now hosting its first guests in the Mile High City.

This Luxury Collection hotel debut follows the multi-million-dollar transformation of an existing property in Denver’s affluent Cherry Creek neighbourhood.

A reinvigorated hospitality experience

Under DiamondRock Hospitality Company ownership and operated by Sage Hospitality Group, Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Denver Cherry Creek has now debuted following the transformation of an existing hotel.

The 199-key property now benefits from a new lobby experience and redesigned interiors, which along with the surrounding Rocky Mountain scenery are the backdrop for the property’s reinvigorated hospitality offering.

“The opening of Hotel Clio is an exciting moment in the continued expansion of our portfolio of exceptional hotels and resorts across North America,” said Philipp Weghmann, vice president and global brand leader of The Luxury Collection.

“The hotel’s stunning vistas, matched with refined service and singular epicurean experiences, will quickly establish it as one of the premier hospitality offerings in the greater Denver area.”

The hotel lies at the heart of the city’s shopping and dining district and is a gateway for outdoor adventures in the Rocky Mountains.

Inspired design

Wilson Ishihara Design led the design of the hotel’s new interiors with inspiration taken from Cherry Creek’s natural surroundings and origins in the Gold Rush era seen through gold accents and rich earth tones. The hotel is named after the Greek muse of history, Clio.

Guests are greeted in the arrival area with a custom cocktail, scented towels infused with the hotel’s signature aroma and a curated welcome playlist. Marble floors, a grand stone fireplace and custom art define this space with the flow of the river then represented in the flooring.

The hotel’s signature dining concept, TORO Latin Kitchen and Bar, created by local chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval is led by chef Oscar Padilla and offers a Pan-Latin menu in a space also featuring a Ceviche Bar.

Additional facilities include a new fitness center featuring Peloton Bikes and Hydrow Rowers and 10,000 ft of event space including two modern ballrooms, ten event rooms and a rooftop deck with Rocky Mountain views.

Twice weekly Destination Discoveries, providing guided exploration of the neighbourhood, feature among the hotel’s new experiences.

“We are thrilled to open Hotel Clio and welcome both curious visitors and familiar faces to Cherry Creek North,” said Dean Griffin, general manager of Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Denver Cherry Creek.

“Our team is delighted to see this project come to life. We are very proud of the unparalleled hospitality and high-touch service infused in every aspect of the guest experience.”
