If you speak to any musician about travelling and homesickness, they’ll surely mention that they miss their instruments back home, or that they take some with them wherever they go.
Hotel design that rocks
This week, we’ve selected five projects that cradle artists and music lovers.
Gold-Diggers, a place where you can sleep and record your next studio album, maintains the typical look of a music studio throughout many areas of the hotel.
The Central Station Memphis, Curio Collection by Hilton celebrates the city and its musical history as home of the blues and rock ‘n’ roll.
Moxy Nashville Downtown, inspired by its neighbours (that include the Johnny Cash Museum / Patsy Cline Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame), invites fun, creative guests into places where they can enjoy their stay while listening to live music.
Sir Adam, also designed for young and creative nomads, includes cultural references to musical legends around the hotel.
And Chez Georges drives inspiration from Brazil’s modernist design while naming each suite after different, talented musicians.

Many TOPHOTELNEWS articles draw on exclusive information from the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database. This subscription-based product includes details of thousands of hotel projects around the world, along with the key decision-makers behind them. Please note, our data may differ from records held by other organisations. Generally, the database focuses on four- and five-star schemes of significant scale; tracks projects in either the vision, pre-planning, planning, under-construction, pre-opening or newly opened phase; and covers newbuilds, extensions, refurbishments and conversions.
