The hotel management company has pledged to help rebuild the East African country’s tourism sector after signing up to operate two boutique properties.
A pair of design-led schemes in Uganda are set to embark upon an exciting new era.
A Ugandan discovery
Aleph Hospitality, the Dubai-based hotel management company, is expanding its African footprint with the signing of its first schemes in Uganda. The business has just inked management contracts to operate Masheda Palms in Buyala and A’lure Hotel & Suites in Kampala.
It means that Aleph’s portfolio now spans six countries on the African continent.
“I am personally very excited to start operations in Uganda,” said Bani Haddad, founder and managing director of Aleph Hospitality. “This is a country that leaves an everlasting impression on visitors, a country with breath-taking scenery, exotic wildlife, kind-hearted people and cultural diversity.
“By welcoming Masheda Palms and A’lure Hotel & Suites to the Aleph family, we promise to share our regional knowledge and international best practices to help them reach their full potential and, at the same time, support the rebuilding of the tourism sector in Uganda.”
The news coincides with the launch of ‘Explore Uganda. The Pearl of Africa’, the Uganda Tourism Board’s marketing campaign to encourage travellers to explore the country again after visitor numbers plummeted at the start of the pandemic.
Gaining a foothold in Buyala and Kampala
Located in Buyala, Masheda Palms first welcomed guests in July 2020. It’s a collection of thatched cottages set in a verdant landscape, perfect for families and nature lovers.
A’lure Hotel & Suites, which opened in November 2020, is situated in a quaint residential area of the Ugandan capital Kampala. A mix of modernism and tranquillity, it offers four-star facilities alongside contemplative spaces in a relaxed atmosphere.
