The Cambria Hotels brand is continuing to grow its presence in the Lone Star State, with construction now underway on a 14-storey property with 212 contemporary guestrooms.
Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown will strengthen the hospitality scene in Texas’ state capital.
A prime Austin location
Expected to open in summer 2023, the 14-storey, 212-key Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown is located at 68 East Avenue in the historic Rainey Street district. It’s being developed by Stratus Development Partners, which was also behind the recently opened Cambria Hotel Napa Valley and Cambria Hotel Sonoma Wine Country.
Austin is home to a host of major corporations. including 3M, Apple, Tesla, Google, Facebook, Dell and Silicon Laboratories, and is the setting for annual events such as South by Southwest and Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Indoor-outdoor space for work and relaxation
The new hotel will provide an array of upscale amenities.
Guests will be able to unwind on Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown’s patio and terrace, take a dip in the outdoor pool, admire the 360-degree views afforded by its indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and enjoy freshly made food, local craft beer, wine and specialty cocktails through its onsite dining options. Additional amenities are to include a state-of-the-art fitness centre and multifunctional meeting and event space.
Meanwhile, the contemporary guestrooms with design-forward fixtures will come with abundant lighting, plush bedding and spa-style bathrooms. Throughout the hotel, the interiors will be distinguished by locally inspired design, reflecting the personality of Austin and the surrounding community.
