A stylish newbuild hotel development, Veriu Queen Victoria Market is slated to open as part of a major mixed-use scheme in the Australian city in late 2022.

Making a mark in Melbourne
The 111-key Veriu Queen Victoria Market represents a key component of developer PDG Corporation’s Munro site adjacent to Melbourne’s celebrated Queen Victoria Market. Zed Sanjana, CEO of Veriu, first announced plans for the hotel in spring 2019.
Now under construction, this newbuild is on track to open towards the end of 2022. Bates Smart in Melbourne is working on the architectural design and interiors of the property, which will be managed by Veriu.
Strong community connections
The new development lies at the heart of the city’s largest community hub, whose other facilities are to include underground parking, childcare and retail. This mixed-use scheme will also feature several residences.
It’s hoped that the Munro site will further bolster the appeal of what’s widely considered one of the city’s cultural cornerstones.
