Meyer Jabara launches development office in Tennessee

Management and ownership company Meyer Jabara Hotels has opened a new hub near Nashville to capitalise on growth opportunities in the Southeast region of the US.

Management and ownership company Meyer Jabara Hotels has opened a new hub near Nashville to capitalise on growth opportunities in the Southeast region of the US.

Despite the ongoing uncertainty caused by the pandemic, Meyer Jabara Hotels remains upbeat about the future prospects for hospitality.

New development plans

Meyer Jabara Hotels’ recently opened Murfreesboro development office is located at 1500 Medical Center Parkway in the Studio at Fountains, from where the management and ownership company is seeking to strike fresh deals across the region. In its first few weeks of operation, four deals have been added to the pipeline, with more expected to close soon.

“People here like doing business with those they know and those who are accessible,” said vice president of development Richard Sprecher. “We are finding that hotel owners in this market especially are looking for a fresh approach to management from a hands-on, experienced operator.

“Most are optimistic about the future, and many are looking to open new hotels in the next 18 to 36 months. Because people are eagerly travelling and Southern hospitality is still a big draw, the leisure market in Nashville and the Southeast is doing exceptionally well. Not only are we looking to grow our third-party management business, but we are seeking joint venture opportunities throughout the region.”

Long-established expertise

The hospitality company, which is headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut, now operates 29 hotels across 11 states. Of these properties, 18 hotels are partially or fully owned.

Founded in 1977, Meyer Jabara Hotels’ growing portfolio currently includes Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, Choice Hotels International, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, IHG and Wyndham Hotel Group properties, along with a number of independents.

The group’s hotels can benefit from a range of management services, including corporate strategy, receivership, revenue management, accounting and financial services, as well as human resources, franchise relationship management, hospitality marketing, risk management, hotel construction management and interior design.
