Crowned our latest Project of the Week, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia aims to pay homage to the pretty Italian island, while reflecting the brand’s refined yet contemporary aesthetic.
Expected to rebrand as Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia in 2022, the newly renovated Hotel Laguna is a family-friendly resort inspired by local history and culture.
Conrad coming to Sardinia
Southern Sardinia’s Chia Laguna area is the setting for an appealing property that’s just been given a stylish makeover ahead of relaunching under the Conrad moniker next year. Hilton Worldwide is working with longstanding partners Westmont Hospitality Group and Oaktree Capital Management to debut the luxury brand in Italy with this new property.
The resort will offer updated and enhanced guestrooms and common areas that are in line with the Conrad brand’s contemporary aesthetic but also inspired by Sardinia’s culture and history. Featuring interiors by Studio Marco Piva, the scheme will subtly reference its setting through the use of natural materials and colours.
Sardinian culinary concepts and wellness
Altogether, the new Conrad hotel will comprise 170 guestrooms, all of which are to feature a terrace or private garden – and most offering views over Chia Lagoon.
This accommodation will be joined by a lounge, poolside bar and two restaurants. La Terrazza will offer a buffet breakfast, organic corner and Sardinian specialities; signature restaurant Sa Mesa is to specialise in local food and wine; and all-day bar and lounge Bar Bollicine promises to serve up an extensive collection of champagnes and proseccos, as well as cocktails, along with light dishes and afternoon tea.
During their stay, guests will have access to a private beach club at the attractive Monte Cogoni beach, and they’ll also be able to pamper themselves at the 1,000 sq m Conrad Spa, which includes six treatment rooms, a yoga studio, a gym and a spa bar.
