Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is set to up its game with the help of a multimillion-dollar refresh supported by design firm BAMO, including new accommodation options and an upgrade of its world-class golf offering.
Four Seasons Hualalai, which is currently closed amid the pandemic, has announced a top-to-toe overhaul that encompasses new amenities, rooms and standalone villas.
A resort-wide overhaul
With reservations starting from 1 December 2020, the resort’s overhaul is being assisted by BAMO, whose luxury approach and elegant, functional design should ensure a superior guest experience while maintaining the hotel’s distinct character.
“We are extraordinarily proud of the experience we provide our guests at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and are thrilled to enhance their visit through this comprehensive renovation,” stated Sebastian Hinsch, resort manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.
Along with new finishes and furnishings for all of the guest rooms, the hotel’s top three villas – Hawaii Loa, Makaloa and Ho’onanea – will be expanded with a second storey, while a brand-new bungalow with six oceanfront guestrooms, including a suite with private pool, will be unveiled next to Kumukea Beach on the resort’s northern edge.
Among the property’s amenities, ULU Ocean Grill + Sushi Lounge will get a dedicated Culinary Academy; the family-friendly Seashell Pool will be refreshed with new tiling; and King’s Pond, the 1.8 million-gallon swimmable aquarium, will be updated with the addition of an elevated swimming pool, lounge deck, and Marine Activity Center.
A dream destination for golf fans
Further cementing the property’s status as the only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Resort on the island, the final touches promise to be a golf-lover’s dream. Together with a reshaping of its Jack Nicklaus signature golf course (which includes a conversion to Platinum Paspalum turf) will be the addition of Hualalai Golf Hale, a 3,000 sq ft instruction and practice facility that can double as an entertainment venue with a multitude of games, audiovisual flexibility, and food and beverage opportunities.
Hinsch continued: “As we look to the future of Hualalai, we are excited to introduce these new amenities and features while continuing to provide the personalised service and genuine aloha spirit for which we are so well-known.”
