260-key Deutsche Hospitality scheme opens in Zhengzhou

Together with its shareholder Huazhu Group, German hotel company Deutsche Hospitality has launched the third IntercityHotel-branded property in the People’s Republic.
This debut signifies the latest stage in Deutsche Hospitality’s rapid expansion drive.
Calling into one of China’s biggest cities
IntercityHotel Zhengzhou East Railway Station invites guests to stay in the bustling capital of Henan province. This property, opened by Deutsche Hospitality in collaboration with shareholder Huazhu Group, is positioned in the upper-midscale segment.
“IntercityHotel’s straightforward approach, high degree of technical affinity and clear modern design all make it perfectly suited to the Asian market,” said Marcus Bernhardt, CEO of Deutsche Hospitality. “Our hotels in China have a particular appeal for business and leisure travellers alike. We are delighted that our shareholder Huazhu is taking such a robust approach towards extending the brand’s presence in Chinese metropolises.”
Ideally located for business and leisure
The towering new hotel is home to 260 guestrooms, along with a 200 sq m multifunctional conferencing facility, German-inspired restaurant and 24-hour gym.
With its position in the Zhengdong New District business area, the hotel provides easy access to railway stations, airports, business centres and sights such as Shaolin Monastery on the Yellow River. As the name suggests, it’s also just a ten-minute walk from Zhengzhou East Railway Station.
