Our next look ahead is at Radisson Hotel Group’s Radisson Collection brand, a luxury lifestyle banner which already has 32 resorts in 19 countries in four years since its launch.

Each hotel is authentic to the destination, with hallmarks of signature dining, local art and experiences. The new additions slated to open in the next few years are aimed at building upon the success and heritage of existing properties within the collection while also establishing the soft brand’s position within the luxury lifestyle hospitality sphere.

While no two are the same, the collection of hotels united under the brand occupy sought-after locations at destinations in Europe, the Asia Pacific, the Middle-East and Africa.

Conversion highlights

Notable conversion project completions next year will include a redevelopment of what was once the Allianz Italy headquarters, Radisson Collection, Santa Sofia Milan. The transformation will integrate much of the building’s historical framework into the new design, while re-purposing the spaces. Highlights of the new 160-room hotel will include a rooftop pool and fine dining restaurant, as well as a 4th floor outdoor wellness terrace.

In Hungary ‘s capital city Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest is taking shape on St. Stephen’s Square. Ready to open in January 2023, the converted site will boast 71 guestrooms and suites, a fitness centre, restaurant, lobby bar and a further rooftop bar.

Over in Sri Lanka, Radisson Collection Resort, Galle will bring the brand’s signature take on luxury to the country’s seaside sun and surf destination, offering authentic local activities and cuisine.

Upgrade archetypes

Several existing sites are also undergoing upgrades, including Radisson Collection Royal Astorija Hotel, Vilnius, which will re-open in Lithuania’s capital city after a large-scale renovation to update and elevate the property to provide luxury accommodation while also honouring its past, showcasing Baroque architecture dating back to 1901.

In France’s Lyon, boutique hotel Cour des Loges is currently undergoing a luxury elevation leading up to a new unveiling as Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel in summer 2023. The 60 key site is also home to a renovation of Michelin-starred restaurant Les Loges, which is det inside a Florentine courtyard and surrounded by a 17-m-high glass canopy.

Continuing the culinary theme, an outpost of New York’s Michelin-starred Carbone restaurant is set to open within the recently-launched Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel in the Saudi Arabian capital in 2023.
