2023 development preview: Hilton Americas

Hilton Worldwide has a strong pipeline of new resorts poised to open in the Americas over the next 12 months.

The major hotel group identified domestic business and leisure travel in its US home as being projected to continue to grow in 2023.

Therefore the company is bolstering its capacity with its many upcoming additions. Here, we profile some of the most notable Hilton projects underway in the Americas region.

US and Canada openings

Conrad Orlando, Florida, United States

Conrad Orlando will debut in autumn 2023 with 433 rooms, including 51 suites and 10 family suites offering oversized accommodations that are designed to deliver home comforts. Other features include 40,000 sq ft of indoor meeting space, a Conrad Spa, water garden, and numerous dining options, including a signature rooftop experience. As part of Evermore Orlando Resort, bordering Walt Disney World Resort, guests can access a 20-acre tropical beach and 8-acre crystalline lagoon, aquatic activities, and two Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf courses.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Buford Mall, Georgia, United States

Homewood Suites is undergoing a brand refresh—and the Buford Mall, Georgia property will be among the first to undergo the changes in 2023. In addition to fully appointed kitchens and Suite Shops, the prototype 10.0 design features a new King Efficiency suite option, elevated shared spaces, flex storage area and barista-style drink options at the front desk.

Motto by Hilton Times Square, New York, United States

Anticipated to open in March 2023, Motto by Hilton Times Square will be the brand’s second hotel in the city, located in the heart of Manhattan’s famous theatre district. The 400-room hotel will feature flexible and modern design integrated with 1920s inspiration, the best of the neighbourhood food and beverage offerings, and a local vibe that reflects the Big Apple. Accommodation will include travel-sized guestrooms and the ability to connect up to six rooms, using Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton technology. Onsite will be Motto Commons, a gathering place for the surrounding neighbourhood; as well as a signature restaurant that will offer a take on the classic New York City diner and feature seasonal, sustainable foods from the surrounding region.

Tempo by Hilton Times Square, New York, United States

Nearby, Hilton’s newest lifestyle brand, Tempo by Hilton, is expected to debut in 2023 with Tempo by Hilton Times Square, located at the newly built TSX Broadway, a 46-storey tower featuring the hotel, experiential retail, integrated signage, and entertainment spaces on 47th Street and Broadway. The 661-room lifestyle hotel will offer a dedicated ‘get ready zone’ for organisation or working, a bathroom with Bluetooth speakers and bath amenities by Apotheke, and direct views of the iconic Times Square through floor-to-ceiling windows. Placing a focus on wellness, in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness centre and signature hydration station, Tempo by Hilton Wellness guestrooms are also available, featuring a Peloton spin bike and Therabody products. The hotel will feature culinary options, including a collaboration with Bluestone Lane, the Australian-inspired coffee roaster, café, and lifestyle brand, where guests can enjoy specialty Bluestone Lane espresso drinks, teas and juices.

Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville, Canada

Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville will mark the brand’s debut in Canada in early 2023, within Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood and shopping destination. The 184-room hotel will feature a modern café with retail offerings from local businesses, a restaurant, an indoor heated pool, yoga and fitness rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment, and comfortable meeting spaces. The design features layered interiors defined by curved edges and organic motifs, complemented by a local art collection. As part of the experience, guestrooms will be called ‘just-right rooms’ because theyare designed to provide intuitive comfort with a place for everything.

Caribbean and Atlantic openings

Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Bermuda

The beachside Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is due to open in November 2023 on the Atlantic island. The hotel will offer a clifftop bar and restaurant, an ocean-view pool bar and grill, and a spa, yoga terrace, and fitness centre.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, Aruba

The first Aruba property for Embassy Suites and the second Hilton resort on the island, Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort will welcome guests to Aruba’s Eagle Beach early in 2023. The property will provide 330 suites and five food and beverage concepts, as well as nearly 9,400 sq ft of indoor and outdoor event space.

Latin American openings

Hilton Monterrey, Mexico

The 225-room Hilton Monterrey will be located in the metropolitan city of Monterrey, north of the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountain range in Northern Mexico. Opening in early 2023, the hotel will have direct access to the Galerías Valle Oriente mall. Event space will include the sixth-floor pool bar, as well as one of the largest ballrooms within the city on the ground floor.

Hilton Santa Marta, Colombia

Hilton Santa Marta is scheduled to open in early 2023 near the city of Santa Marta, in Colombia. The 261-room hotel will offer Caribbean Sea views and a short walk to the area’s beaches. Contemporary Colombian cuisine will be available onsite, along with more than 16,000 sq ft of meeting space.
