2017 HEDNA event being held in Dublin
This year’s HEDNA (Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association) Conference was held in Dublin, Ireland from June 12th – 15th. The event, the 2017 Global Distribution Conference, is took place in the Croke Park Conference Centre and celebrated HEDNA’s mission, which is to advance hospitality distribution through sharing and strategic collaboration. Over the course of three days, delegates, attendees, members and non-members came together to take part in workshops and go to discussions and networking events related to the theme of electronic distribution within the hotel industry. Education Tuesday was one of the main activities at the conference, with workshops in the morning and afternoon aimed at expanding the knowledge of electronic distribution systems.
HEDNA was founded in 1991 and is a non-profit organisation that provides its members with networking platforms, educational resources and employment opportunities within the framework of digital distribution. The group promotes the free and open transfer of information among its members, working to optimize the use of new technologies and keep members abreast of all the latest developments in electronic distribution. HEDNA’s members are industry professionals, leaders and innovators, who hail from all ends of the electronic distributions spectrum – from hotels and hotel staff to management companies and tour operators.
As well as the Distribution Conference, HEDNA also has events coming up in Bali in August, the HEDNA Regional Networking event, and another Global Distribution Conference in Austin, Texas at the beginning of 2018. The conference is a staple event on the hospitality calendar, and is unmissable for those who are involved in distribution as the latest projections and forecasts for the industry will be discussed over the course of three days.
