The 418-key Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island scheme is fast taking shape on the picturesque Ras Al Khaimah coastline.

Planned for debut in late 2022, this forthcoming Mövenpick resort is a central part of the unique lifestyle and leisure destination being developed on the man-made coral-shaped Al Marjan Island.

A new island setting

Overseen by Ras Al Khaimah-based developer RAK AMI Hotel, the under-construction Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island is continuing to make progress, with building work going ahead despite the challenges brought about by Covid19 over the past year. The five-star resort is centrally located on Al Marjan Island, the flagship lifestyle and leisure destination being created by Marjan, master-developer of freehold property in Ras Al Khaimah; Al Marjan Island consists of four man-made coral-shaped islands in the Persian Gulf.

This exciting Mövenpick property will add to the impressive hospitality offering for visitors to Al Marjan Island. Supporting the Destination Strategy of the Emirate, the resort is being built with sustainability in mind, taking energy and water efficiency into account and incorporating green building principles.

A burgeoning beach destination

The resort lies within an expanse of landscaped gardens on a stretch of its own secluded white sand beach. Its striking architecture comes courtesy of Dubai-based architectural firm Perkins & Will, which is also behind the interiors. Altogether, this scheme will house 418 guest rooms, all with direct sea views, ranging from family rooms and suites to the 28 beachfront chalets with gardens and private pools.

Other facilities within the property will include a specially designed drinking and dining offering, including two beachfront restaurants, a garden restaurant and a rooftop sunset terrace with 360-degree views, along with a kids club, fitness centre and spa. A spacious ballroom capable of hosting events for more than 400 guests at a time is in the works as well.

Al Marjan Island is also home to several other five-star properties. The plan is to develop 2,400 hotel, residential and mixed-use units by 2025.
